this one’s inspired by my sister

Globe & Mail
It was fun illustrating the February 15th Facts and Arguments article – which was about a packrat.
100% Mixed Race
This is my first exhibit of pastel portraits. Four portraits and four accompanying interviews treat mixed race subjects as cultural experts. The portraits are large bright 11×17 portraits, and the interviews are framed and hand-printed. The show runs at Toronto’s illustrious A Space Gallery until March 3 2012.
One In Every Crowd
I’m so pleased to have drawn the cover of Ivan Coyote’s brand new book to hit school libraries: One In Every Crowd. Go team queer!
Velvetpark
I’m proud to be named as one of the 25 Top Significant Queers of 2011. Read the article here.
The Hong Moon Lesbians of the Sacred Heart
My new comic “The Hong Moon Lesbians of the Sacred Heart” will be proudly published in the inaugural anthology of Sister Spit books, which is Michelle Tea’s new imprint of City Lights Press – the legendary literary house that notoriously published Allen Ginsberg’s Howl.
Call Me They
I’ve started a weekly art blog with the sexy artist Coco Riot to talk about our use of the pronoun “they,” to document our various pronoun debacles and triumphs in media interviews, and to post beautiful art dedicated to our trans community.
The Ex Bank
I’m experimenting with stop-motion animation. I’m starting with this one. It’s about how weird it is to quit being in love. You can see it on youtube here.
